Ira Aves

Their rage knew no limit. Our people lived in constant fear of them flying above.

Our king came up with a desperate plan to rid us of their menace.

He ordered us to steal their young.

The children would be raised by our customs and taught to defend us from their own kind.

Or they would be fed to our starving people.

We hated the Kings plan but conceded we were doomed without it.

We stole the eggs and hid them within our hastily built fortress.

We never thought they could break through.

We doubted how far they would be willing to go.

They sacrificed themselves to shatter our walls, to defeat our forces and to kill our king.

Stealing their eggs only made them angrier.
